2017 is bringing some big changes to the job market. With hiring volume expected to increase 58% in the U.S., the landscape is evolving. Millennials are coming in strong and almost 4 million executives are set to retire. EBI, a background check company, has put together a collection of the 60 hiring statistics that every job seeker and hiring manager should know.
One of the most telling pieces for job seekers is that an average job opening typically attracts 250 resumes. But only 2% of those applicants will be called for an interview. Also, only 15% of hires are made from candidates that apply via a job board. But almost half of the candidates insist on searching for jobs via job boards.
